The Kid Laroi announces new album 'Before I Forget'

The Kid Laroi will release his third studio album, Before I Forget, on Jan. 9.

He announced his new album on Instagram saying:

“I made this album in the last 4 months. I had a whole other album that was completed but I scrapped it. Started again from scratch with the exception of 1 song. It’s my favorite thing I’ve ever made. It’s also the most personal thing I’ve ever made. Sorry it’s taken a while. I hope that it resonates with you in some way cause it means a hell of a lot to me. I love you and thank you for supporting me always.”

The album announcement comes with the release of the first single called ‘A Perfect World.’ You can listen to it below.

Over the last year, Laroi had been teasing a new album on and off. He’s also released a few songs such as ‘She Don’t Need To Know,’ ‘How Does It Feel?’ and ‘A Cold Play.’

It is interesting that he completely scrapped an album he was ready to put out. This year, he went through a breakup with Tate McRae. The timing can’t be a huge coincidence - especially as he told Variety today that his new album is “a sadder, more emotional sounding album” compared to the one he was going to put out.
